Emerald City Comicon is an annual three day event located in the heart of Seattle. Since its beginning in 2003, its attendance has grown exponentially. While deeply rooted in comic books, Comicon also features a wide array of video games, movies, and television. I took visual inspiration from classic comic book art combined with the idea that we are super heroes living in disguise.
As a guerilla marketing tactic, green phonebooths would be set up around Seattle. Inside the phonebooth you could purchase a "SUPERPASS" which would qualify you for an exclusive gift bag and early access to certain events.
The campaign would extend to all social media platforms including a Snapchat filter that turns the user into a superhero, giving them a mask and glowing eyes.
